Papillon

- Temperament:
- They are steady, obedient and are not yappers like some other toy breeds. Papillons can be trained to perform small tricks but can prove to be difficult to housebreak. Papillons do best with older, considerate children. If socialized from an early age they will get along with other pets.
- Grooming:
- Daily combing and brushing of the long, silky, single coat is important. The coat does not tangle or matt. These dogs are usually clean and odorless and should be bathed only when necessary.
- Training:
- They are easily trained and thrive in sports such as agility, competitive obedience and performing tricks.
- Exercise:
- This lively breed thrives on mental stimulation and enjoys a daily walk on a leash as well as challenging games indoors or out.
- Life Expectancy:
- around 13-15 years
