Temperament:
This popular breed is confident, calm, courageous, trainable, and devoted to their owner and family. Being alert and territorial he is excellent choice for a guard dog. They require owners who can handle their massive size and is experienced in obedience training. They are great playmates for children if socialized from early age. If brought up together they will accept other pets but may turn aggressive towards strange dogs.
Grooming:
The short, dense coat of this breed is easy to maintain. Weekly brushing is all that is necessary.
Training:
The Rottweiler is a highly intelligent breed and is fairly easy to train but requires a dominant owner experienced in obedience training. Rottweiler is a powerful working dog that requires daily exercise and mental stimulation. Swimming or running beside a bicycle are perfect activities for this dog. Do not over exercise until he is fully grown to avoid injury.
