This year the title of Best of Breed was rightfully awarded to Monchique Cimarone Cove at Branjoy, a beautiful 7 year old male owned by Mr & Mrs Broadhead. It was a special day for the owners as this was the third and the last CC that their dog needed to become a champion. For those that are not familiar with Kennel Club’s regulation, in order to win the required three CCs to become a champion a Golden has got to beat all the dogs of its sex shown on the day, including the champions. That makes the British title one of the toughest in the world, especially if you consider that the UK is a comparatively small country and top dogs can be shown at every championship show leaving no room for other dogs to get a title.
